Guided hiking

If you prefer hiking, our country side has a wealth of archaeological monuments, which provide evidence of human settlements of past ages e.g.:

• burial sites of Germanic tribes,
• fortifications of early Slavic settlers,
• traces of Viking incursions along the Baltic Coast,
• remnants of “mottes”, defence towers, built by early German settlers around 1200, etc.
• Old churches, built in the early 13th century bear witness to the first christianisation of Mecklenburg.
